MonUV is a measuring station specifically designed to monitor some basic parameters
useful for the prevention of radiation damages due to exposure to environmental
UV radiation.
Basic measures from the sensor are:
- horizontal global erythemal UV radiation
- air temperature
Other bio-meteorologic parameter measurements can be integrated into the system
(e.g. relative humidity, speed and wind direction, solar radiation intensity in
the VIS range, ...)
By exploiting the above cited measurements, some bio-meteorologic parameters relevant
for human health are derived:
-
heat index
- perceived temperature
- recommended sun exposure time as a function of phototype
The measuring station can be configured according to power supply, data management
and sensor types, in order to fit different operational needs.
MonUV can also be integrated into the spettroradiometric system SpectrAIR.
