Regione Lombardia Plant (Milan district)
Since April 2008 Flyby monitors
the production of the photovoltaic plant installed on the roof of Regione Lombardia
administrative centre situated in Milan (Via Pola).
The plant has a total nominal power of 49,450 kWp and is composed by 230
photovoltaic modules divided into two sub-fields:
- "Sub-field 1" is composed of 10 strings, 12 connected in series modules
each. The total is 120 modules, all together producing a power of 25,80 kWp.
- "Sub-field 2" is composed of 10 strings, 11 connected in series modules
each. The total is 110 modules , all together producing a power of 23,65 kWp.
Modules are made of monocrystalline silicon and have a nominal power of 215 Wp.
The photovoltaic plant is equipped with
a monitoring & control system derived from the standard product SolarSAT PV-Controller,
and tailored to the specific needs of Regione Lombardia.
Through the dataloggers dedicated software, the system can get the plant’s working
status at any time, in particular allowing for the inverter working status check
and visualization so as to identify possible malfunctions.
In order to display the plant’s data at the Regione Lombardia administrative centre,
specific automatically rotating web pages have been developed on purpose. These
pages are optimized for the local LCD screen dedicated to public communication.
Using a fully customized graphics the following data are displayed on the LCD screen:
- real time satellite map of solar irradiance over the Milan urban area (W/m2)
- instantaneous value of the solar irradiance incident on the module inclined plane
(W/m2)
- instantaneous power (kW)
- plant instantaneous power
- daily produced energy (kWh)
- energy produced since the plant start-up (kWh)
- CO2 saving since plant start-up (kg or ton.)
All data are delivered in real time and automatically updated with hourly frequency.
Enel.si “Regina Margherita” plant (Rome)
Since July 2007 Flyby monitors the production of the photovoltaic plant installed
on the roof of Enel.si buildings situated in Rome (Viale Regina Margherita). The
plant is located on three “towers” (a fourth one is under development) and has a
total nominal power of 39,60 kWp. The plant is composed by 310 Sharp PV modules,
which are divided into 13 sub-fields, managed through 9 SMA inverters.
- "Tower 1" has 3 inverters and a total of 12,6 kWp
- "Tower 2" has 3 inverters and a total of 11,1 kWp
- "Tower 3" has 3 inverters and a total of 15,8 kWp
The photovoltaic plant is equipped with a monitoring & control system derived from
the standard product SolarSAT PV-Controller, and tailored to the specific
needs of Enel.si
Through the dataloggers dedicated software, the system can get the plant’s working
status at any time, in particular allowing for the inverter working status check
and visualization so as to identify possible malfunctions.
In order to display the plant’s data at the Enel.si local office, specific automatically rotating web pages have been developed on purpose. These pages are optimized for the local LCD screen dedicated to public communication.
