Security and defence
Flyby participates in several European Projects whose aim is to build up integrated remote sensing services for security and defence in the maritime and coastal areas, such as maritime traffic surveillance, the identification of dangerous events or illegal activities which could compromise people’s safety or damage the coastal environment.

In the framework of many European Projects which involve Military Authorities as customers, Flyby is currently a service provider for several institutions such as the Italian Navy.

Every product and service is customizable according to the customer specific needs.

Renewable energies
Flyby provides services for renewable energy plant management (in particular for photovoltaic and wind plants) and grid management. Such services are based on web-technology, in-situ measurements and on Earth Observation satellites data exploitation.. In particular, Flyby has developed the SolarSAT system, a suite of ICT products and services devoted to professional PV solar parks, for new plant design, plant performances testing and optimization, failures diagnostics and plant maintenance management.

Environment
Flyby looks after environmental monitoring by measuring many physical and biological environmental parameters characterizing the status of an ecosystem. Different sources of information, such as satellite, aerial and in-situ sensor data are used and merged together in order to provide, for instance, eco-sustainable management systems for existing industrial plants or support to the choice of where to build new ones in order to minimize the environmental impact.

Tourism
Flyby provides information services for tourism to both public bodies, which promote and encourage tourism, and to private companies willing to improve the health and wellness offer available upon their structures, in order to increase the customer satisfaction.

Outdoor activities
Flyby collaborates with national and international Environmental Agencies and private companies by participating in European Projects which aim to setting up new public services for real time information delivery about physical agents that affect outdoor life quality (e.g. gases, particulate matter, solar radiation, heat). For this purpose Flyby has also introduced new quality indexes specifically tailored for the environment description.
